UFE will be adding a bikini model category for females to its lineup in time for UFE Halloween Mayhem taking place on October 25th in Hamilton. This category will then be a mainstay for UFE events. This is owing to the large number of requests for this category in the UFE from many interested competitors.

Sean Everingham, UFE President, reports: "Many competitors want to compete with UFE and are asking if we have a bikini model category. I have been watching the skyrocketing popularity of this category and decided that it would make sense for us to introduce it to our events. Also, we are all about listening to the competitors and giving them what they want."

Entry forms will be updated shortly to reflect this new category.

Also, effective immediately, UFE will be instituting changes to the figure category. Currently, the figure category consists of three rounds including symmetry, mandatory posing and routine; basically, it was a more feminine version of bodybuilding. However, new rules will see this category closely resemble that of the Ontario Physique Association (OPA). Therefore, figure will now consist of a one-piece suit round and a two-piece suit round in which competitors will perform walks on stage before being compared in a lineup and performing a series of quarter turns. There will be NO posing and NO routines performed. UFE has now also introduced a masters division in which females 35 and over can compete.

"I have had several competitors let me know that they would like to try figure in the UFE, but do not like the routine aspect of the category. Many others may also want to be able to crossover with OPA events and work their way up the latter. The standard in figure set forth by the pros at the highest level is the one-piece and two-piece suit rounds so it makes sense to keep with that formula," comments UFE President, Sean Everingham.

The response and excitement surrounding the MVP Quest, UFE's pinnacle event, has been great, but many people would love to be a part of it, but have not qualified. With that in mind, UFE will be opening up the MVP Quest for Open level competitors as well! Rather that a typical show consisting of a morning prejudge and an evening finals, the MVP Quest will consist of an Open division show in the morning beginning at 10am in which all rounds of competition will be performed and scored and results announced. The evening portion of the event will consist of an Elite division show in which competitors who have qualified from qualifying shows will compete for the title of Ultimate Champion. Note that top placing competitors from the morning show will qualify those people for the evening Elite division show.
